PROJECT OVERVIEW

HEART MOUNTAIN INTERPRETIVE LEARNING CENTER – HEART MOUNTAIN WYOMING FOUNDATION

Engineering Associates provided civil engineering design services, materials testing services and construction administration services in three phases for the new Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation Interpretive Learning Center. The Interpretive Learning Center will house exhibits that will educate visitors on Japanese American history by emphasizing themes of constitutional issues, civil liberties, diversity, and ethnic understanding. A Military Honor Roll and a plaque dedicated to those killed in service will also be part of the complex.

Specific duties performed by our firm for phases I & II included civil infrastructure design, on-site observation for the construction of the access road, parking lot, sidewalks, well, treated water piping, leach field, septic system, and irrigation siphon.

The final phase of the Interpretive Center's site included design and construction administration and observation services for concrete work, paving, signage, and a reverse osmosis (RO) system. Materials testing and construction staking was also performed for this site located between Powell and Cody, Wyoming.
