The Town of Thermopolis recently completed a 2.8 million dollar water line replacement project. The project involved the replacement of over 12,000’ of existing water transmission line within the Town of Thermopolis. The primary focus with this project was increasing the ability of the town to pump to their water storage facilities by improving pressures within the system, and replacing degraded transmission lines. The project was funded by the Town of Thermopolis as well as the Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) and the State Revolving Fund (SRF).
Extreme flows in the summer of 2017 exposed the water transmission line under the Wood River above the Town of Meeteetse. In the fall of 2017, EA completed an emergency stabilization of the water line and stream bank to protect the Town's water supply. We are currently completing the new bore crossing and adding additional riprap, with a project again funded by FEMA and Rural Development.
Congratulations to EA's Lyle Casciato on being voted President of the Professional Land Surveyors of Wyoming! We can't wait to see the great things from this group this year! http://plsw.org/ click to learn more.
